Bad Wildungen or Europa` s Biggest SPA-Garden! The healing properties of Wildungen`s mineral springs have been appreciated since he 14th century. The town was first documented around the year 800 and received it`s town charter in 1242. It gradually developed into a flourishing spatown and was given the tittle of Bad (Spa) in 1906. the community of Bad Wildungen conists of about 18000 inhabitants. Today the healthy and charming atmosphere of the town is highly reputed as a modern health resort an a popular tourist destination. The town and the rural surraoundings cover an area of more than 120 sq km of unspoilt beech forests with more than 500 km of hiking trails. Two of these are internationally remowned. Visitors are also invited to explore the outstanding beauty of the nearby National Park Kellerwald Edersee.
